We then walked through the village, interacted with some of the village members, and saw their primary school. Although I initially was hesitant to walk into a village as a foreigner and look deeply into the lives of these people that I did not know, the members of the village who we talked to made clear that this was an interesting and exciting experience for them as well, and it felt more like an exchange than I would have anticipated. I thought that it was particularly nice to be able to see women who typically have low levels of social and economic mobility have a space where they can both interact with each other and learn skills that will likely have economic benefits
